Corporate Website Development
for a Salt Production Company
Poseidon Salt is a bilingual corporate website developed to establish a strong and professional online presence for a Greek salt production company. Built with WordPress, the website combines a clean, modern design with a clear structure and intuitive navigation. The project includes 26 pages in Greek and English, ensuring accessible content for both local and international audiences. Special attention was given to responsive design, performance, SEO, and WCAG Accessibility Guidelines. The result is a comprehensive digital presence that reflects the company’s identity, products, and professional profile.
Project Overview
Poseidon Salt is a corporate website project aimed at creating a modern, professional, and accessible digital presence for a Greek salt production company. The primary goal was to develop a website that effectively communicates the company’s identity, showcases its products and activities, and provides visitors with a clear and intuitive browsing experience.
The project involved the complete design and development of a custom WordPress website, consisting of 26 pages in Greek and English. Particular attention was given to visual consistency, content organization, responsive layouts, and user experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. The bilingual structure was designed to serve both the Greek market and international audiences.
Beyond the visual and functional implementation, the project included technical optimization focused on SEO, website performance, privacy, and web accessibility. Accessibility improvements were guided by WCAG 2.1 Level AA principles and evaluated using WAVE, helping identify and address accessibility issues throughout the website. The result is a well-structured corporate website designed to provide a consistent and accessible experience across different devices and audiences.
The Challenge
One of the main challenges was creating a professional digital identity that reflects Poseidon Salt’s business activities while presenting its products and information in a clear and engaging way.
Another key challenge was organizing 26 pages across two languages, ensuring consistent content structure, intuitive navigation, and a seamless browsing experience for both Greek and international visitors.
Accessibility was also an important consideration. The website needed to offer a more inclusive user experience, requiring careful attention to contrast, readability, navigation, and other WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility principles, alongside responsive design and technical performance.
The Solution
I designed and developed a custom WordPress website with a clean, modern visual identity that reflects Poseidon Salt’s corporate profile. The layout, typography, and visual elements were carefully selected to create a professional presentation while maintaining a clear and intuitive user experience.
To support both Greek and international audiences, I implemented a bilingual website with 26 pages, structured navigation, and consistent layouts across all sections. The website was also optimized for responsive performance, SEO, and usability across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Accessibility and technical quality were integrated into the development process. I conducted accessibility evaluations using WAVE and implemented improvements based on WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines, addressing identified issues and enhancing the overall browsing experience. Additional attention was given to website performance, privacy settings, and analytics integration.
