Project Overview

Noir Wellness is a self-initiated concept project created to design and develop a premium wellness coaching brand from the ground up. The objective was to create a refined digital experience that communicates balance, intentional living and holistic wellbeing through thoughtful design and content structure.

The website was custom-built using WordPress, the Hello Elementor theme and Elementor’s Flexbox Container system. Every page, layout and interface component was designed from scratch without relying on pre-made templates, allowing for complete creative and structural control throughout the project.

The final result is a fully responsive multi-page website that combines a dark luxury visual identity with a scalable design system, creating a cohesive user experience across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

The Challenge

One of the primary challenges was creating a premium custom design while working within a page-builder environment. The goal was to avoid the common template-driven appearance often associated with builder-based websites and instead develop a unique and polished brand experience.

Another challenge involved establishing consistency across multiple pages and components. With every layout being built from scratch, maintaining a clear spacing system, visual hierarchy and reusable design patterns was essential to ensure a cohesive user experience.

Responsive optimization was also a major focus throughout the project. Each section required individual adjustments and refinements to ensure that the visual quality and usability remained consistent across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

The Solution

The website was designed and developed entirely from scratch using the lightweight Hello Elementor theme and Elementor’s Flexbox Containers. Rather than relying on pre-built templates, every page, section and component was custom-built to create a unique brand experience tailored to the project’s goals and visual identity.

A structured design system was established early in the process, including typography, spacing, color palettes and reusable UI components. This approach ensured consistency across the entire website while maintaining a clean and scalable development workflow.

Special attention was given to responsive behavior and usability across all devices. Each layout was individually refined for desktop, tablet and mobile screens, resulting in a polished and cohesive user experience that remains visually consistent regardless of device size.

Why I Built It

I created Noir Wellness to explore how a premium wellness brand could be translated into a modern digital experience. The project provided an opportunity to combine thoughtful design, branding and front-end development while focusing on creating a calm, intentional and visually refined user journey.

Another objective was to deepen my experience with WordPress and Elementor by building a fully custom website from scratch. Rather than relying on pre-built templates, I wanted to develop a complete multi-page experience using reusable components, responsive layouts and a consistent design system.

Key Learnings

This project reinforced the importance of establishing a clear design system before moving into development. Defining typography, spacing and reusable UI patterns early in the process made it significantly easier to maintain consistency across multiple pages and components.

Building the website entirely from scratch using the Hello Elementor theme and Elementor’s Flexbox Containers provided valuable experience in creating custom layouts within a page-builder environment. It demonstrated how thoughtful structure and planning can produce unique results without relying on pre-built templates.

The project also highlighted the importance of responsive refinement. Optimizing each section individually for desktop, tablet and mobile devices helped create a seamless user experience and reinforced the value of designing with flexibility and usability in mind from the very beginning.
